Taking bookings which are not allowed under current restrictions, putting the onus on the customer to understanding the current ever changing environment, allowing customers to arrive then asking the pertinent questions, then refusing you to stay and refusing to refund. Shame on Travelodge, especially under the current climate, will never use this company again.

Having booked accommodation for March that was understandably cancelled due to coronavirus and lockdown, I was told I would be issued with a voucher for another date in a couple of weeks. Nothing happened, and eventually I had to contact them in order to receive an e-voucher - I don't have much of an issue with this as the circumstances were unprecedented. My problem arise when I actually tried to book a room using the voucher. Regardless of what I do, the voucher number is shown as invalid. I have the credit shown on my account, I just can't use it. The voucher can only be used online (which doesn't work), or by calling their premium rate number. I've tried this but have yet to get a reply; it has however cost me several pounds in phone costs.So I've been issued a code that's invalid, and I can only try to book via the phone after spending the equivalent of the cost of the voucher in hidden costs. I've decided to write it off as a lost cause, but I shan't be using Travelodge ever again.

Arrived to find that the extra bed hadn't been supplied and we had to drag it out from under the main bed and had to ask for bedding and make it ourselves! Also weren't supplied with a duvet cover! So overall very very poor and not up to the usual standard. I knew there was a reason I stopped using Travelodge and started using Premier Inn! Much better value for money!

Covid 19 cheating, taken money from me and did not allowed me to stay ,refused refund using Covid19,do not book rooms until covid ends unless you are not on bussines tour.

Tried contacting them months ago regarding an expired/expiring evoucher due to covid. The evoucher was only given due to a very poor stay.Use many travelodge locations and rarely disappointed.No reply.Lost a regular customer im afraid.

Had a bad experience at a Travelodge a while back and in compensation was given an e voucher. Tried to us it a couple of time but it kept getting rejected. By the time Travelodge said it was OK to use we were in the middle of the pandemic. Tge advise was do not book anything. I tried this week to book a travel lodge which would have cost money on top of the e voucher. I realised the voucher had run out in Feb. I e mailed them to say can it be extended because if covid plus no Travelodge is open and after several e mails they are still saying NO!! How can you use a service which is not there.

Upon arrival at the hotel I had to wait at least 10 minutes for a member of staff to check me in. I was very disappointed at the lack of hand sanitizers in the building in light of the current pandemic I would think this may have been addressed more.There was also no foam hand wash in the dispenser in my room so I was thankful I always carry sanitizers with me.I found the shower in the room very difficult to work out .However the room was very clean and welcoming and the bedding and towels very clean.The toilet roll was in plentiful supply and the wash gel on the bath was full.When I did see a member of staff they were very pleasant.Especially the man on the desk at checkout (24/4/2021). I had a pleasant stay and would visit again however some of the issues do require addressing.

Travelodge Gravesend: Excellent stay. New/refurbished hotel and every thing was fresh and well presented. I have written a few reviews about travelodge because i am a regular business traveller and i think it would be wise for travelodge to start taking these reviews seriously and listen to their customers. Travelodge hotel and under investment and they seriously need to be modernised. Gravesend is a typical example of what can be achieved. 5 stars with pleasure this time.

Travelodge cancelled a confirmed business booking without ensuring I knew of the cancellation. Cost extra to make alternative arrangements on day of travel. Customer services are no longer replying. Poor show Travelodge - I won't be using this company again.

I booked a few hotels for my upcoming Wedding and sadly the venue is closing down due to COVID. Every other hotel was understanding and gave refunds as the bookings were for a lot later this year.However Travelodge were the only one to refuse to either refund or move the booking to one of their other sites. Due to this I have lost £350.00. They clearly dont care and I will never be using them again. If one person reading this is put off Travelodge and takes their business elsewhere I will be happy.

Cancelled our booking on the morning we were due to arrive and we are still fighting for a refund. Terrible company!

So me and my friend booked at Clacton on sea Travelodge on Jackson road and the night we had was awful we are meant to be staying 4 nights but one was enough to make us feel extremely unsafe to the point we couldn’t leave the room as some men kept coming over to us that was staying at the hotel and they was the reason we left the pub as well and to make it worse they was opposite our room to make it worse we was 215 and they was 216 not much escaping the situation! , and tried bargain into our room which we said no no no and Quickly ran into the room called the front desk but they was unable to help with much as no other rooms available we have tried calling the helpline which we didn’t get much luck we are leaving today and can’t even get a refund for what has happened to us absolutely poor customer care wouldn’t recommend this area !!!!
